Paul was right [Philippians 3:19 and Alexander Hislop]

>
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

Philippians 3, KJV

In A. Hislop's The Two Babylons the words of Paul can find also a brilliant contextual explanation:

"...Thus was it in life. At death, also, the grand passport into the unseen world was still through the merits of men themselves, although the name of Osiris was, as we shall by-and-by see, given to those who departed in the faith. "When the bodies of persons of distinction" [in Egypt], says Wilkinson, quoting Porphyry, "were embalmed, they took out the intestines and put them into a vessel, over which (after some other rites had been performed for the dead) one of the embalmers pronounced an invocation to the sun in behalf of the deceased." The formula, according to Euphantus, who translated it from the original into Greek, was as follows: "O thou Sun, our sovereign lord! and all ye Deities who have given life to man, receive me, and grant me an abode with the eternal gods. During the whole course of my life I have scrupulously worshipped the gods my father taught me to adore; I have ever honoured my parents, who begat this body; I have killed no one; I have not defrauded any, nor have I done any injury to any man." Thus the merits, the obedience, or the innocence of man was the grand plea. The doctrine of Rome in regard to the vital article of a sinner's justification is the very same. Of course this of itself would prove little in regard to the affiliation of the two systems, the Babylonian and the Roman; for, from the days of Cain downward, the doctrine of human merit and of self-justification has everywhere been indigenous in the heart of depraved humanity...."

[from The Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop, Chapter IV Section II Justification by Works]

Where you can find a more bright example on the true origin of heathenism? Isn't clear here that heathenism/paganism is not born in the ignorance of the Will of God but in the most deep (and not revealed) knowledge of it, where the awareness of the presence of God is as much denied and hidden as the desire to mock, offend, degrade and pervert it  was present in the first rioters against God.  Here the wonderful example on how the laws of God given to Moses were associated exactly with their evil opposite against which they were intended to be used by the God's Will. The belly and their content, center of the instincts used by Satan to stir people against God, in the perverted minds of the heathens was exhibited as the symbol of the same divine law which was intended to tame those evil instincts and the Satanic obedience to them. Heathenism is the Satanism in the most high artistic form.

So don't worry about the contemporary obsession about ancient Egypt.  Please notice behind the Jesuit pope the Janus' keys (many times exposed in the Saturnalia Brotherhood thread of the historical The Unhived Mind forum), keys who were also the characteristic of the pharaoh:

In the moment where all the powers are drinking from her cup, fulfilling the book of Revelation, we can also find a divine echo, about the true reasons for such arrogance and exhibition of power, also in the book of Exodus, chapter 9:

Obama & pope Francis S.J. in Rome, 27th March 2014.

15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

Above image - from Ivar's blog: "6.000 Roman Catholics bow before a piece of flesh
An estimated 6,000 pilgrims braved heavy rain to venerate the relic of St. John Vianney’s heart when it arrived in England in July 2012." - http://ivarfjeld.com/2014/04/05/6-000-roman-catholics-bow-before-a-piece-of-flesh/

Is it due to Exodus chapter 20 the reason why the church of Rome is so much obsessed also with the celibate and the prohibition for his priests in to have children?

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

[Of course you surely have noted how the piece of heart is the invisible part of the living body so they think to have found a way to escape the divine damnation and at the same time to blaspheme God but I think God is not that fool they want imagine to be... ....]

  1. Well, idolatry is pretty common sin, even in Israel. . .

    Judges 8:27
And Gideon made an ephod thereof, and put it in his city, even in Ophrah: and all Israel went thither a WHORING AFTER IT: which thing became a snare unto Gideon, and to his house.

    2 Kings 18:4
He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the BRASEN SERPENT that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel DID BURN INCENSE TO IT: and he called it Nehushtan.

Apparently whoever worships idols becomes blind and deaf to the word of God

    Psalms 115
7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that TRUSTETH IN THEM

The heart is the worst part of man and they worship it, instead of praying for it to be cleansed by the Holy Spirit:

    Genesis 6:5
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

    Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?....

    Mark 7:21
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,.....

  2. ".....The heart is the worst part of man and they worship it, instead of praying for it to be cleansed by the Holy Spirit:...."

Yes it is true and just for this reason they didn't show to their 'sun god' the hearth but the intestine from where heart is taking inspiration...
