ReplyDeleteAs for prophecy, I just don't know. I'm tempted to look at Russia and China as the final world empires before the final beast (Daniel 7). But It could be a 15 year period or a 50 year period of Russian/Chinese/Latin hegemony, we can't know. it seems the involvement of the Eastern part of the world in middle eastern politics precipitates a new era. Israel will have to embrace new "allies", should the USA have problems of its own soon, like it appears. The growth of UFO-logy ,the Jesuit pope and the imminent return of Orthodoxy to Catholicism (or the upcoming"reformation" of the Catholic church) indicates the world is set up for something new. We need to wait to see if 2017 is big ...... I expect Jesus to return soon, maybe in our lifetime is all I can say, even if it is a sort of a very lousy prediction.
Yes thank you Salvation is what distinguish Christendom from any other cult philosophy, of course many have a sort of 'salvation' inside (see the check of intestine by ancient Egyptians) but yes it would be more appropriate to talk about a check and not salvation. ReplyDeleteI observed that the one who refuses Salvation are hostile towards the one who search Salvation in Jesus and are trying in every manner to distract the former using every kind of moral blackmail. I never would have imagined this when I was refusing Salvation and it seemed to me that those 'fanatical' Christians were only nuts. Of course I refer mostly to the s.c. "sects" not the usual native Catholics one, and this is very telling about the complete depravation of humanity from the point of view of the Salvation of their soul in Catholicized and Romanized countries.

ReplyDeleteBut even here I would make a difference, I perceive even a difference between a staunch Catholic papist of Austria and one of Italy. From the point of view of Salvation I m living in a very depraved city, whose "cosmopolitanism" developed from XVIII century cause the harbor of the empire, led to the alliance of any form of nationality and religion (if we do the exceptions of Slovenes but this is even more telling) where the common banned values were exactly the Christian values.
Of course, the hateful reaction of people to the gospel is the greatest miracle and proof for the truthfulness of the Gospel and Faith in Christ. It is because they smell their own death and eternity in hell!

The protestant have the wrong idea of salvation - as a continuous adherence to church rules, sacraments etc. But salvation is a gift to a sorry sinner, not a reward to a righteous servant. We can win rewards(crowns and other stuff we don't know about) if we tell people about Jesus(witness), lead a holy life, but can't win/lose our salvation, because we never deserved it in the first place. The thief on the cross wasn't baptised, didn't eat bread and wine and didn't do anything good and still went to heaven . . .
The protestant accuse the baptists that we make Salvation seem easy. But it is easy, otherwise no point in witnessing to people, most of them will still do many and bad sins and go to Hell. But our sins are paid for, we are not under condemnation. Our conscience should be the conscience of a child toward a good Father, not a criminal afraid of punishment anymore. Still, the Lord punishes bad Christians by killing their body, giving them disease (like me before several months) or other methods.

Salvation is too simple to be true for most people. But God is not a liar.
When we had our missionary conference(last week) the American pastor told us a story about a certain chinese lady who when realised that the missionary who went around the villages could only come once and never come back to the same village(because he had churches in the big city) asked with a humble voice
"Can I have eternal life if I have only heard of Jesus once?"
This brought tears to my eyes, because imagine how many christians without bibles, pastors, Lord's supper, baptisms, only the promise of Jesus Christ and it will still carry them to heaven, because He is the Way, the Truth, the Life and whoever believeth on Him hath everlasting life.

Well, I think if we take it for what it means, it is that they turned to God about salvation. Satan wants us to think God has always thrown everyone in Hell and we have only a small chance if we follow churches, rules, rituals, but not so. . . God wants us to know we are saved
