(ANSA) - TRIESTE, MARCH 11 - has been signed today in Trieste the agreement on scientific and technological cooperation between Elettra Synchrotron and the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM) in Tehran, in view of construction, 150 kilometers northwest of the capital, the Iranian Light Source Facility.
     The three-year agreement provides for the formation of Iran's scientific and technical personnel to the joint design of a new line of light funded by the Iranian Ministry of Science to be installed at the Elettra Synchrotron and then transferred to Iran. Estimated cost of the operation to achieve the new beamline 5-6 million Euros, "but the administrative details will be defined later in commercial contracts," he specified Alfonso Franciosi, president and CEO of Elettra Synchrotron Trieste.

Above image - I m living so near the Elettra Synchrotron that I omitted to mark it on the map (about 5 km or 3 miles distance from it), between the city of Trieste and the Synchrotron. Giulio Regeni was of Fiumicello county.
