The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. [Proverb:1:7, KJV Bible]

"...which differs only in one letter".

".......Now the great god, cut off in the midst of his power and glory, was symbolised as a huge tree, stripped of all its branches, and cut down almost to the ground. But the great serpent, the symbol of the life restoring Aesculapius, twists itself around the dead stock (see figure 27), and lo, at its side up sprouts a young tree--a tree of an entirely different kind, that is destined never to be cut down by hostile power--even the palm-tree, the well-known symbol of victory. The Christmas-tree, as has been stated, was generally at Rome a different tree, even the fir; but the very same idea as was implied in the palm-tree was implied in the Christmas-fir; for that covertly symbolised the new-born God as Baal-berith, * "Lord of the Covenant," and thus shadowed forth the perpetuity and everlasting nature of his power, not that after having fallen before his enemies, he had risen triumphant over them all. * Baal-bereth, which differs only in one letter from Baal-berith, "Lord of the Covenant," signifies "Lord of the fir-tree."......." "......For these and many other reasons, I pulled my own book, Babylon Mystery Religion, out of print despite its popularity.......(............)..... I could not in good conscience continue to publish a book against pagan
mixture knowing that it contained a mixture itself of misinformation
about Babylonian origins.........".
".....The
pig as a symbol of Nimrod, Tammuz and Semiramis(like the dove) makes me
think why the LEGION entered the swine = coincidence or not? ........"
If
you look well you see that here there only an APPARENT problem, i.e.
if sometimes the same character appears at the same time with opposite
features in different countries... The Babylonian system since 4500 yrs
is based on the secret and not always it was assured - as regard his
infinite duplications - a complete alignment with the original model of
Babylon. ... I can guess that a perfect world-wide harmony was even NOT
favored by the same Cushites and this in order to hide the secret core
(today Masonry, occult, esoteric, etc.) under a Chaos of apparent
contradictory significances... Chaos comes from CUSH or KHUS whose
significance is "cup" (see Revelation with Lady with Cup in hand), aka
"the hidden one" as the cup at the same time "hides" the content... of
course the usual common significance of chaos (confusion, absence of
order) is just identifying that "hidden" guy, using his dialectical
opposite, the confusion which hides the below lying secret order of
significance.
Hislop simply filtered the chaos of the Pagan
Background Radiation to let emerge the signals of Satan. To tell the
truth the same Hislop was only the one who gathered and issued what was
the common general opinion among explorers, academics and cult ministers
truly Christian protestant in the British Islands of his age

"....For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double
How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow......." [the Revelation of saint John the Divine, 18:5-6-7 KJV]
