For a time I don't posta direct biblical quote, but a Chinese proverb. Anyway, it fit marvellously for this last age of Christianity, the Laodicean church age. Do you remember that verse about Jesus, knock knock !, Lord knocking the door to see if they let Him enters ? ?
Well (this is a kidding). Jesus finally see the door opening, and a Security Guard of the "righteous, KJV only, dispenso-ruckman, witnessing 24/7, missionary" Baptist church tells him with a menacing tone of voice : hey you, hippie, sit calm there in the bottom of the congregation hall, that our pastor is praising Lord Jesus who is finally come on earth, and now has His throne in Washington DC.
There's no Jesus in America, therefore there's plenty of room for false Christs and false prophets - a Chinese proverb has in it more biblical doctrine than all the Baptist churches & "pastors" in the US :

The court jester is often mistaken for the king, especially when there is no king

As the Chinese saying goes:
"山中无老虎,猴子称大王
When there are no tigers in the mountains, the monkey proclaim himself king."
